Hospitality Department

Do you want to become a Caterer, Chef, Kitchen Assistant, Restaurant or Hotel Managers well Hospitality Management is the programme for you!

The right attitude to service is essential for anyone with an interest in entering the hospitality professions. Students of all abilities often fail to see the link between what they learn in an academic sense and the world of work. BTECs in Hospitality change all that. The vocational learning style is completely different from the more traditional routes. Students may research their topics and present results in a wide variety of ways other than in written text. They don’t have to work alone – group interaction can often play a part, for example through team activities such as role-play.

The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management offers both HNC and HND programmes. The HNC programme comprises of 4 core units and 4 general units while the HND programme comprises of 8 core units and 8 general units all of which allow you options to tailor your diploma to your future career interests.
